Gardai and emergency services are on the scene of a crash in Stradbally.
The incident happened a short time ago at the bad bend coming out of the town near the graveyard.
This has been the scene of a number of accidents over the years.
Two ambulances are currently at the site of the accident.
An eye witness said that it was a single car accident with three or four people involved.
The car, which is damaged at the rear, appears to have spun out of control and ended up in a nearby field.
It is unclear how badly hurt the members of the car are but they are being tended to be emergency services.
An eye witness said: “A number of accidents have occurred over the years here.
“Hopefully those involved will be ok.”
Gardai are there too and road users are advised to avoid the area at present.
