The Portlaoise Musical Society celebrated 20 years on stage at the Dunamaise Arts Centre recently.
In this fantastic show – members of the musical society, past and present, took punters on a journey that has spanned two decades.
From their first production ‘Oklahoma’, right up to 2017 when they performed the sensational sell out ‘Rock of Ages’.
The show featured a cast of well known faces including original ‘Oklahoma’ cast members and some new ones.
Presented by a highly renowned team including Choreographer Grace McGrath and Musical Director Emer Hartnett, it was a truly stunning show.
There were scenes performed from the likes of ‘Oklahoma’, ‘Grease’, ‘Anything Goes’, ‘Singin in the Rain’ and ‘Rock of Ages’
Every member of the audience was singing along and reminiscing on 20 years of Laois Musical Society.
The next time the Portlaoise Musical Society will take the stage will be this Autumn, with their biggest and best ever production of the epic story of Titanic-The Musical.
