After a very successful eight days, Laois Heritage week drew to a close for another year.
Events took place all across the county, ranging from whiskey tastings to farm walks.
Irish History Live concluded it’s trip around Laois libraries in Portlaoise on August 23.
Michael Moylan brought history to life with costumes and artifacts of historic periods.
Meanwhile, Ballykilcavan Brewery held an open day as a part of Heritage week.
Punters were given a chance to walk around the impressive grounds.
Then at the weekend, the Bulfin Cycle run took place as a part of Heritage Week on Friday August 24 and Saturday 25.
The High Nellie cycle started and finished in Durrow, and took in Heritage sites such as Castle Durrow, Heywood Gardens, Timahoe Round Tower & Heritage Centre, the Rock of Dunamaise and Abbeyleix Heritage House.
