The Timahoe Conservation Plan launched Sunday August 19 as a part of Laois Heritage Week.
Historian Tom Nelligan of The Standing Stone launched the plan on the night.
The plan was written by Margaret Quinlan and constructed alongside ecologist Fiona McGowan, archaeologist Dave Pollock and art historian Rachel Moss.
The plan was done in partnership with Timahoe Development Association, led by Roghan Headen.
The Heritage Council were represented at the launch by Chairman Michael Parsons, who funded the plan.
Eoin Barry, labour area representative tweeted; “Attended the launch of the Timahoe Monastic Site conservation plan this evening.
“Great work has gone into the plan from the local community. The site is definitely worth a visit if you’re traveling in Laois.”
Copies of the plan can be purchased at Timahoe Heritage Centre, and an electronic version will be on Laois.ie shortly.
