Two men were arrested at the scene of a cocaine seizure in Laois have been charged.
Gardai recovered a quantity of cocaine believed to be worth in the region of €50,000 near Abbeyleix on Thursday, August 16.
The two men, aged in their 30s and 40s, have been charged in relation to the incident.
Both men were due to appear before a special sitting of Nenagh District Court this afternoon.
Speaking yesterday, Gardai said: “As part of an on going operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Tipperary Division a vehicle was stopped.
“It was then searched near Abbeyleix, Laois, on 16th August 2018 at approximately 8:20pm.
“During this search a quantity of suspected cocaine (pending analysis) to the value of €50,000 was recovered.”
