There were tears of joy in Mountmellick Community School this morning as the Leaving Certs results were revealed.
Over 70 students sat the exams back in June and each of them received their envelope from 10am this morning.
Liadan C-Fennell was one of the many happy scholars – and why not after she achieved a simply stunning total of 589 points.
Speaking to LaoisToday, Liadan said that she was absolutely delighted and overwhelmed.
The Rosenallis native said: “I am absolutely delighted and I really wasn’t expecting it. I am absolutely thrilled.
“I am hoping to do Primary School Teaching and Psychology in Mary I when the CAO offers come out.”
Another of the students we spoke to, Jennifer O’Toole, was also thrilled with her results and she hopes to do Law.
