In Pictures: Crowds turn up the pace at Ballacolla 5k fundraising run

Huge crowds turned out to the Ballacolla before and after-school Den fundraising run on Wednesday, August 8.

Over 120 people took part in the 5km walk/run in Ballacolla and there were some very impressive times recorded on the day.

Winner winner

There was six categorizes of runners: male, female, over 40s male, over 40s female, juveniles and walkers.

St Abban’s runner Stephen Hunter was the overall winner on the day with a hugely impressive time of 16 minutes 46 seconds.

Liam Buggy came in second with 18.30, closely followed by Shane Hanlon with 18.44.

Grace Reilly was the first woman to cross the line at 18.51 and finished fifth in the overall race, just one second behind Ciaran Keenan on 18.50.
