Thousands of spectators descended upon Stradbally again this Bank Holiday weekend as the ever-popular Steam Rally proved a big hit once more.
As ever they travelled from far and wide for what was the 54th annual hosting of the event.
The organisers were blessed with glorious sunshine on Sunday afternoon as spectators took in all the attractions.
It was a bit more overcast on Monday but there was still a great buzz around Stradbally Hall as it hosted its last major event before the Electric Picnic which begins at the end of this month.
Pony Games, Dog Shows, Food and Beer Tents, Trade Stalls and a Working Arena were among the more popular areas while the steam train through the woods is always a big attraction too.
This year’s event, once again organised by the Irish Steam Preservation Society, was, as the organisers say “the complete family day out”.
Our photographer Julie Anne Miller was in Stradbally on Monday to sample the atmosphere and snap a collection of photos from those present – young and old!
