A massive car crash has occured on the New Road from Portlaoise to Timahoe.
The crash happened at the T-junction on the busy road out of the town.
An onlooker has confirmed that there are three ambulances, one Garda car and at least three other cars at the scene.
“One car was absoutely in bits on the side of the road. It was shocking to see,” the witness confirmed.
