Due to growth and expansion we are seeking a new Facility Manager for our Waste Processing & Treatment facility in Enva in Clonminam Industrial Estate, Portlaoise.
This role will encompass all aspects of operations management to ensure the efficient and safe achievement of our operational goals, in addition to responsibility for new projects, research and continuous improvement.
This role will provide the successful candidate with the ability to work in a challenging and dynamic role/environment in a fast-paced and growing organisation.
The Facility Manager will assume full responsibility for all daily operations at Enva Portlaoise (excluding waste oil processing) including waste acceptance, processing and removal of waste for offsite recovery whilst ensuring all regulatory requirements and company procedures are adhered to during all site operations. In summary the role will encompass responsibilities related to:
- General Site Management
- Site Compliance
- Logistics & Stock Management
- Technical and Research & Development
The Facility Manager will also be responsible for the development of systems and processes to maximize operational efficiency, safety, quality and productivity.
This is a management role within a busy and developing hazardous waste facility. Out of hours working may be required at times but flexibility within the position is possible.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a facility/ plant manager in a highly regulated industry (e.g. EPA regulated)
- Proven managerial experience in a similar operations environment
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
- Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
- Knowledgeable and experience of accountability in areas of health & safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
- Highly computer literate and with effective communication and literacy skills (e.g. report writing, business cases)
- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
