Humphreys, Emmett Street, Mountmellick, Co. Laois. John William (Jack) called home on July 13th 2018 in the loving care of the staff of Oak Dale Nursing Home, Portarlington. Very sadly missed by his devoted wife Frances, daughter Sandra, son in law George, grandchildren Austin, Graham and Lorna, brother Wilfred and family in California, neices, nephews and friends. Funeral Service at 12 noon on Monday, July 16th, at St. Paul’s Church, Mountmellick and interment afterwards.
William Keane

Keane, Corrigeen, Stradbally, Co. Laois July 14th 2018. Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. William (Willie), in his 85th year. Deeply regretted by his loving family, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family and many friends. Reposing at his residence from 4 pm on Sunday evening with rosary at 8 pm. Removal on Monday morning to arrive at the Church of the Assumption, the Heath for 11 am Requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in the adjoining churchyard. Family flowers only donations if desired to the Laois Hospice.

Samblin, South Circular Road, Dublin, Ballyfermot and Rathdowney, Co. Laois. July 11th 2018. Unexpectedly, Robert, beloved son of Tanya and Anthony and brother of Bryan, James, Lauren and Aoife, sadly mourned by his family, his grandmothers Ellen and Eithne, his aunts and uncles, his nephew Sean, his beloved Audinga, relatives and his many friends. Reposing at his parents’ home (Clarney Hall, Rathdowney, Co. Laois) on Sunday evening from 5pm with prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Monday in The Church of The Holy Trinity, Rathdowney at 11am followed by cremation at Newlands Cross Crematorium, Dublin arriving at 2pm.

Sherman, Moneynamuck, Johnstown, Co. Kilkenny, July 13th 2018. Peacefully, in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff of The Sacred Heart Nursing Home, Crosspatrick. Kitty, predeceased by her husband Bertie. Deeply regretted by her sister-in-law Kitty, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Reposing at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Rathdowney, on Saturday evening with rosary at 9pm. Funeral prayers on Sunday evening at 7pm followed by removal at 7.30 to the Church of The Immaculate Conception Galmoy. Funeral Mass on Monday at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Napolitano, Marcello, Aghoney, Timahoe, Co. Laois, July 11th 2018. Peacefully surrounded by his loving wife Katherine and daughter Anna-Maria at St. James’ Hospital. Deeply regretted by his loving family, step daughter Julie-Marie Beer, sister Cinzia, his friends in the Society of Creative Anachronism, his Randonneur colleagues, his many relatives and acquaintances.
May he rest in peace. Cremation will take place privately.

Alice, beloved wife of the late Bill (William), Shanahoe. Dearly loved mother to John and cherished grandmother to Timothy and Michael. Deeply regretted by her loving family, daughter-in-law Ciara, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home, Portlaoise on Friday evening from 7 pm with rosary at 8 pm. Removal on Saturday morning to SS Peter and Paul’s Church to arrive for 10 am Requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Eileen (Irene) Flood (nee Sheehy), 20 Silverbrook, Mountmellick, Co. Laois (formerly of Kilnamanagh, Tallaght). Died 10th July 2018. Sadly missed by her loving husband Maurice, daughters Adrienne and Sharon, sons Michael & David, thirteen grandchildren and great grandchild, her brother Tommy and sister Kay, brother-in-law David, sister-in-law Phil, daughters-in-law Caroline and Suzanne, sons-in-law Lar and Brian, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.
