Timbersport team to demo new lightweight chainsaw

This Saturday, July 7, the five man team which represented Ireland at World Stihl Timbersports Championships will be in Pat Fogarty Sales and Services, for the launch of the all new Stihl Ms462.

The team will be training, and testing out the new saw from 10 am from roughly 1 pm.

There will also demonstrations for other Lawn and Garden equipment and they will also host a barbeque.

There are three Laois men on the team, Leo Brophy, Gavin Thompson and Patrick Fitzpatrick.

They spent two days last November in the Olympic village, Lillehammer, Norway.

Stihl Timbersports started 30 years ago in the USA and arrived in Ireland in 2006 with the country’s first Irish Championship.

The team are currently preparing for next year’s championship which takes place in Liverpool.
