With temperatures set to rise into the low 30s this week, the humble 99 is set to sell out of shops like hot cakes – but where can you find the cheapest ice-cream cone?
More than 80 shops across the country have been surveyed to find the best value ice-cream cones.
The price 99s can differ by as much as €2 down to a mere 50 cents in some cases.
Second cheapest ice-cream in Ireland
According to Extra.ie, Whelehan’s Newsagent in Portarlington has the second cheapest ice-cream cones in Ireland – costing €1.50.
The cheapest 99 is home to Duffy’s Supervalu in Roscommon – where it only costs a mere 50 cent.
The average price across the country was €1.93, although this average rises in Dublin to €2.17.
