The grounds of Stradbally Hall provide a stunning setting in the best of times but add in this glorious weather and the old estate rarely looks better.
It was a hive of activity this afternoon for an occasion that incorporated the National Fox Hound, Beagle and Harrier shows as well senior and junior Hunt Chases and Pony Games.
Crowds came from all over the country for the event which was buzzing from early morning to well into the afternoon.
Horses, hounds, jeeps and horse boxes were the order of the day.
Among the attractions were: Irish Draughts; Side Saddle; Racehorse to Riding Horse; Hunter Classes; Hack, riding horse and cob classes; Pony Classes; Pony Club Games; Pony Club Musical Ride; Working Hunter; Archery on Horseback; Derby Competition; Puissance; Hunt Chase; Endurance Riding.
A variety of stalls were dotted around the estate as people enjoyed the events with picnics a major element of the day too.
The event was organised by Laois Hunt.
