A special celebrity guest was present to see the Flag for global citizenship today. TG4 weather presenter Caitlín Nic Aoidh was on hand to help principal Dominic O’Braonáin, Green Schools co-ordinator Rita Ní Aoláin and all the pupils celebrate their achievement.
In his speech, principal O’Braoináin thanked all the pupils, staff, visitors and parents for their help in making Gaelscoil Phortlaoise such a well-rounded school looking after so many talents.
A special performance
These special talents were seen today when pupils took to the stage in the PE hall to sing, dance, cartwheel, play instruments and even Taekwon Do!
Ed Sheeran’s ‘Galway Girl, Danny Boy, Oro Se Do Bheatha Bhaile were among some of the songs performed while the pupils performed dances professional gymnasts would be proud of.
