Whether it be Golf Classics, garden festivals or family fun days – Friday 8 to Sunday 10 is filled with activities for everyone aroudn the county.

FRIDAY 8 JUNE
Sunflower Day
The 28th annual Hospice Sunflower Day takes place today and is one of the most popular fundraising events in Laois. All donations are very much welcomed.
Clonenagh Golf Classic
Clonenagh Parish are holding their annual Gofl Classic in Mountrath Golf Club. All those interested can contact Mabel Peavoy on 057 8732331.
Clothes collection in Castlecuffe
Castlecuffe NS are having a clothes collection at the school on Friday morning.

Laois Garden Festival
Buds and Blooms Garden Festival takes place in Spink Community Grounds this year. Guest speakers include Bob Brown, Paul Smyth and Dermot O’Neill. Check out here for some great photos of last year’s festival.
Heartlands Rally
The Ace Signs Heartlands rally returns to Laois roads today and is sure to provide some thrills for car fans and spectators.
Slieve Bloom walks
This week’s walk is at the Ridge of Capard right up to the Stoneyman. Meeting in the Ridge of Capard car park at 11am. This is a Grade A 12km walk led by Frans Jensen.
Mayo NS Family Fun Day
A family fun day will be held today in St Abban’s Athletic Club.
