Our Moment in Time this week looks back to the Dove House Fete in Abbeyleix in 2000.
Photographer Alf Harvey was on hand to take photographs of the popular and successful event.
The event was held on June 4, with special guests being the No 1 Army Band conducted by Capt Mark Armstrong.
It featured all the usual attractions including garden plants and ornaments, tombola, bouncing castle, pony rides, bowling and cake stall.
The event was billed as an opportunity to meet all your friends and have a chat over a cup of tea.
The photographs certainly display an era that has certainly changed. Fortnite and the Floss dance are as far removed as possible from the scenes depicted at Dove House.
However, Dove House has evolved in that time and continues to provide a valuable resource in Abbeyleix.
The sensory garden at Dove House is something of renown.
Vibrant plants appeal to the sense of sight, while hearing is reached through wind chimes and a humming stone. There are also scented plants and those with interesting textures.
It is described as a garden with a history, which provides a peaceful haven of spiritual and sensory nourishment and contemplation for the visitor.
