The people of Laois have overwhelmingly voted Yes to Repeal of the Eight Amendment.
With all of the boxes open and all of the tallies now complete, it is now clear that Laois has voted Yes.
Labour’s Eoin Barry has been reporting from the count centre in St Mary’s Hall in Portlaoise all morning.
And he is predicting that the vote will be something like 61% Yes, 39% No.
Fine Gael’s Thomasina Connell also announced that with the count almost concluded, Laois have gone 60/40 in favour of Repeal.
Meanwhile, RTE’s Ciaran Mullooly has also recorded a similar, albeit slightly lower figure, of 58% Yes, 42% No.
Some of the boxes from around the county were tallied also and they showed the strength of the Yes vote.
One Portarlington box showed 149 Yes and 88 No while another from the town had 171 Yes and 63 No.
Another in Emo showed 170 Yes and 70 No. In Graiguecullen, a box had 268 Yes and 132 No.
One box in Monasterevin had 103 Yes and 36 No. In Mayo, things were closer with the box having 124 Yes Votes and 91 No Votes.

While the Leinster Express are reporting a was a similar story with boxes from Portlaoise.
One showed 287 Yes votes with 163 voting No. While another Portlaoise box showed a return of 219 with 127 voting now.

A Mountrath box revealed 110 votes in favour with 83 no voters. In Pike-of-Rushall there were 69 votes in favour with 37 against. A Ballyroan box returned 215 yes votes and 155 no votes.

A box from the south of the county in Rathdowney show 103 votes in favour with 66 voting no. In nearby Ballacolla a box showed 50 votes in favour with 36 votes against.
In the north of the county in Killenard, a box showed 84 votes in favour with 55 against.
The official result is due later this afternoon.
