Camross Foroige is running for 11 years to date and last weekend the club with kids aged between 12-17 travelled up to the Hype Festival held in St. Mel’s College in Longford town.
The festival which is solely for Foroige members is as an end of year event each year and this year 16 members travelled up to the festival in Longford.
Acts included Fergal Darcy, State Lights,Kiosoma, The Academy and Undefined along with an inflatable theme park, circus acts, mindful areas body & soul and many more.
The Festival is billed as Ireland’s largest youth festival – which is a strictly no drinking event that is supervised by local stewards.
Garda Irish Red Cross and over 200 leaders were in attendance as thousands gathered.
The Foroige club evenings are held each Friday from 8-10pm in the loft of the Community Centre in Camross.
The club will be enrolling new members in September as it is now closed for the summer. So keep an eye on the community page for reopening times.
