Gardai were called to O’Moore Park to remove an anti-abortion banner during the Cumann na mBunscol finals last week.
The incident happened on Thursday afternoon during the final day of the three day bonanza of hurling and camogie action for primary school children.
A number of men brandished a sizeable banner of a graphic nature advocating for a No Vote.
They positioned themselves across from the roundabout on the Abbeyleix Road, facing the stadium.
Gardai were called and after a discussion with the men, the banner was removed.
A passer-by said: “The banner was of a highly graphic nature and was in full few of the young children who were going to and from the games.”
