In May 2003 Ballyroan Foroige hosted its first ever fun day.
Photographer Alf Harvey was on hand to capture the momentous event.
Local councillor Mary Sweeney was on hand to praise the members and the leaders on their work throughout the year.
It was great to get young people involved in a non-competitive manner, Cllr Sweeney said.
The opening day consisted of some of the members playing a rendition with the African drums.
Jackie Hanrahan, leader with Ballinakill Foroige Club thanked the club for the invitation and said it was well worth the early trip down from Dublin to accomapny her club to Ballyroan.
She congratulated the New Radicals on organising the event and said that the Ballinakill club hope to organise the sports day next year.
