Planning permission has been launched for a simply massive housing development in one Laois town.
Langville Properties Ltd have launched plans for the project on a site which is just under 10 acres in Stradbally.
The development will consist of 72 houses and these are broken down as follows.
There will be eight two-storey two-bedroom terrace houses, 30 two-storey three-bedroom terrrace houses, 14 two-storey three-bedroom semi-detached houses, 16 two-storey semi-detached four-bedroom houses and four two-storey detached four-bedroom houses.
There will also be 159 car parking spaces.
The development is bounded to the north by Church Lane, Church Avenue and residential housing, the east and south by agricultural land and the west by St Colman’s National School and the rear gardens of existing houses facing onto Main Street, Stradbally.
And there will also be good news for the nearby St Colman’s school as they will gain a new 40-space car park.
There are also plans to construct two new playing pitches at the school too.
