The victims of a robbery over the weekend have launched an appeal for people in catching the culprits.
The incident took place in Ballyfoyle, Mageny on Sunday evening May 13.
Sometime between 7pm and 8.30pm, a construction yard/shed was broken into.
A large Honda generator, that the victims reckon would have required a couple of lads to carry, was taken.
Gardai from Abbeyleix attended the scene yesterday and it is understood they believe that access was gained through the field just at the Ballyfoyle Crossroads.
It is believed that at least two men carried out the robbery and then left the scene carrying the generator on foot before being picked up in another vehicle.
No descriptions of them or the vehicle is available.
Anyone who saw anything at the crossroads at that time on Sunday is asked to get in contact with their local garda station.
