Planning permission has been lodged for a new housing development in Stradbally.
Metapod Capital Services Limited intend to apply for permission at The Green, Stradbally in Laois.
The development consists of the construction of terrace houses.
There will be four of these in total and they will be made up of three bedrooms.
Each house will have attic bedrooms, connection to public foul sewer and water-main, vehicle entrance and on site car parking.
Meanwhile, the board of management of Cosby National School in Stradbally is planning an extensive development at the Church of Ireland patroned-school.
The plan is to build build two classrooms with toilets, a resource room and a staff room.
The school has around 30 boys and girls in enrolled.
Details of the plans for both developments will be available from County Hall in Portlaoise.
