If you are travelling to Dublin this weekend via train, you can expect major disruption to your journey.
Irish Rail are assisting Kildare County Council with works on a bridge in Sallins from Good Friday until Monday afternoon.
So as a result, bus transfers will be in operation from Newbridge and Kildare to Dublin.
So that means if you get on a train from Portlaoise or Portarlington, you can expect to face delays.
And with the Laois footballers set to play in the league final on Saturday, many fans may have been hoping to use the train to get to Dublin.
Speaking to Midlands 103, Barry Kenny, Corporate Communications Manager with Irish Rail, has details of the bus transfers.
He said: “People travelling between Heuston and Cork, Kerry and Limerick, those services will have bus transfers between Heuston and Newbridge.
“For people travelling between the Dublin and Galway routes, it will be bus transfers between Heuston and Kildare.
“For Dublin to Waterford, that will be full bus transfers as we have major signalling works taking place in Kilkenny.
“We do the vast majority of our line works over night but some projects are of such scale that we do require a longer closure.”
