New Ambassador of Lithuania in Ireland, Egidijus Meilūnas, will visit Portlaoise on Wednesday March 28.
The visit was originally planned for earlier on in the month but had to be rescheduled after Storm Emma.
Planned visits
Mr Meilūnas will now call into Portlaoise Library at 5pm where he donate a collection of Lithuanian language books.
He will also visit the Portlaoise Parish Centre from 7pm to 9pm.
This event will be hosted by the local Lithuanian community and supported by Laois Partnership Company.
