Help sought to find man missing from near Athy

Gardaí in Athy are appealing for the public’s help in tracing 25 year old Keith Wright McCarthy who is reported missing from Castlemitchell, Athy, Co Kildare since March 14.

He is described as being approximately 5’5″, of slight build, with blue eyes.

Keith was last seen wearing blue jeans, white runners, and a dark and light blue jacket.

Keith may also be wearing a red peaked cap.

Gardaí ask anyone with information or who can assist in locating him to contact Athy Garda Station on 059 8634210, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.

His father Kevin McCarthy posted on social media yesterday saying he was last seen at approximately 12.10 walking towards Athy from Castlemitchell.

“If anyone has seen him or knows where he is, can you please contact us or Athy Garda Station,” he said.

Castlemitchell is close to Laois border, between Vicarstown/Stradbally and Athy.

The area is particuarly well known due to its hosting of the National Ploughing Championships 2009 to 2011.
