Portlaoise apprentice James Norris from Alpha Drives is in his first year of the programme.
Experience
“I have a qualified engineer as a mentor at Alpha Drives and I gain more engineering experience through his guidance. I also attend LIT and have the opportunity to bring my theory into practice in the company which is a great advantage”.
He recently attended a briefing session in Limerick Institute of Technology.
Apprenticeships are a proven way for employers to develop talent for their company and industry.
It is an attractive process, as it allows apprentices earn while they learn and build valuable work-ready skills in a chosen occupation.
