Rosenallis raised a phenomenal €800 for Pieta House over the course of their six week Operation Transformation.
Their were over 60 members in the group, who managed to lose 26st and 9lbs between them.
Carmel Dunne was one of the organisers of the Operation Transformation and she was thrilled with the outcome.
“It was great to see the effort that was put in by all and to have such good results was a testament of the work put in, well done each and everyone of you,” Carmel said on the Rosenallis GAA Facebook page.
Each member paid €2 at each weekly weigh-in, and there was also a donation bucket at the final weigh-in.
Rosenallis, like many communities, has been deeply affected by suicide.
Their fundraising will go towards the treatment programmes provided by Pieta House.
Jackie and John from Pieta House travelled from Dublin to accept the donation.
