This is not for the faint-hearted.
The Cullenagh mountains are one of many beauty spots in Laois and in this type of weather, it turns into a winter wonderland.
But for a couple of Laois friends, they made a ski resort of sorts out of it today.
John Joe Collier, Alex Spain and Barry Fingleton did their own DIY skiing with Alex and John Joe hitching a lift on the back of Alex’s tree care truck as Barry drove.
“What a way to spend your lunch break,” one of them roars as they make their way around the hills near Ballyroan.
“Don’t you crash into me John Joe,” says Alex at another stage.
The video which was posted on Barry Fingleton’s Facebook page was picked up on by the Irish Examiner and you can watch the full video on their site.
Barry posted a series of videos on Facebook as the lads strap on the skis and hitch a lift from the back of the truck. Another video shows Alec making his way down the hill on his own on the skis.
All things considered it looked a relatively smooth ride but you’d want to be a confident skier to try it in the first place!
