If the last few days have thought us anything, it is that some people are simply incredible.
Our Council staff are out day and night gritting roads, emergency services are making their way to work to keep hospitals open and gardai are visible everywhere.
And businesses of Laois are also getting in on the act. Ger Smullen, of TromALL, shot the below footage of he and his team braving the elements to get a big delivery off to a client in Belgium.
Ger said: “We are a Laois company who are trying to be a player on the world stage.
“We have had a few knocks and this weather system was going to make us miss a target.
“But without having to ask any of them, the lads all showed up today to get a machine off to Belgium.
“Despite the start of the worst Irish weather in 36 years, and that is saying a lot, our team showed up yesterday to ensure we delivered to our clients on time.”
