It’s been a week of cancellations, re-schedules and calling offs. But if you’re suffering from cabin fever there still are events going on over the weekend to spark a bit of interest, even if you do have to wrap up well for them.

The two Johnnies in the Midlands Park Hotel
Gracefield table quiz
Gracefield GAA are holding a table quiz in the Hawthorn Bar at 9pm.
SATURDAY MARCH 3
Family Fun Day in Ballacolla
There is a Family Fun Day in Ballacolla community hall this Saturday at 2pm. New boucning castles and obstacle courses from Slieve Bloom Castles & Marquees will be there on the day.
Cabaret in Borris-in-Ossory
Borris-in-Ossory defibrillator group are holding a cabaret in Rose O’Grady’s at 9.30pm. Music will be performed by the Dooley brothers and there will be a raffle on the night.
Camross Parish Social
The March parish social takes place tonight with the return of Tipp FM’s Fran Currie and singing partner Muriel O’Connor. Doors open at 9pm.
SUNDAY MARCH 4
Charity 5k in Killenard
St Michael’s Athletic club are hosting their charity 5k starting from the Heritage Killenard at 11am. Funds go to Portarlington Senior Citizens.
Coffee morning in Rosenallis
John and Claire Hartnett are again hosting a coffee morning in aid of the Irish Cancer Society from 10am until 3pm.
Laois out in action
It is a busy weekend on the intercounty scene.
Laois camogie take on Kilkenny in Division 2 of the national league.
Laois footballers are out against Antrim in O’Moore Park at 12.30pm and the Laois hurlers take on Dublin afterwards at 2.30pm.
Laois Ladies footballers play Sligo at 2pm.
