The kids who were due to make their Confirmation in Stradbally on Saturday have been given a new date.
The big day was called off due to the weather and has now been refixed for Sunday March 11.
St Colman’s say: “Confirmation in Stradbally has been rescheduled for Sunday the 11 of March as part of 11:30 mass.
“Bishop Denis Nulty will celebrate the mass.”
Confirmations in a number of parishes in Laois are in danger of not going ahead this weekend due to the incredible amount of snow that has fallen in the county.
Ballylinan Confirmation was called off yesterday while the Camross one, scheduled for Sunday, is still on.
All schools in Leinster and Munster have been ordered to close until Monday by the Department of Education.
While schools with confirmations scheduled for this weekend are being advised by their dioceses to make a decision in a timely manner.
