St Colman’s National School is Stradbally is planning to extend.
The school has submitted planning permission to accommodate a two classroom special needs unit.
This would involve a 292 metre extension to the existing school building.
There will be alterations to the existing staff car park as part of the change.
St Colman’s National school is an amalgamation of Stradbally BNS and Scoil Aonghusa in Church Avenue.
The two schools came together in 2010 and have 12 classrooms in the buillding.
Eight of the rooms are from the original Scoil Aonghusa premises and four that were added on in 2010 during the school extension.
