Gardai have seized a car and arrested two men following an incident in Camross yesterday.
The local Task Force were out around 12.45pm when they came upon a Blue Audi A4 that was abandoned.
They then arrested two males nearby with a container of diesel which they believe to be stolen
The men, aged 29 and 27 respectively, are believed to be from the Portlaoise area.
Both men have been charged to Tullamore District Court where they will appear on February 15.
Separately, Gardai are appealing for information after a number of robberies in the last couple of days.
On Saturday evening at 11.15pm last, the Leisure Centre in Portarlington was broken into.
The office was ransacked and money and other items were taken.
A short time later, the GAA clubhouse in Portarlington was also broken into.
A small silver car was spotted in the area at the time and Gardai are appealing for anyone who saw anything to come forward.
