Gorman (nee Troy) Irey, Ballyfin, Co. Laois. In her 100th Year. Peacefully in the tender care of the staff of Ballard Lodge Nursing Home and surrounded by her loving family. Julia, predeceased by her husband Daniel and daughter Dina (Harte) and daughter-in-law Mary. Son in law Billy Guilfoyle . Sadly missed by her loving family, daughters Maura (Guilfoyle), Bríd (Purcell), Sheila (Carroll), sons Charlie, Willie and Danny, son in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Charlie’s residence at Irey from 4pm on Friday with rosary at 9pm. Removal to SS Fintan’s Church, Ballyfin on Saturday to arrive at 7 pm. Requiem Mass at 10am on Sunday followed by interment in the New Cemetery, Ballyfin. Family flowers only.

 Margaret Houlihan (née Lambe)
Oaklawn, Portlaoise, Laois

Houlihan (nee Lambe) Oaklawn, Ballyfin Road, Portlaoise. Jan 18th 2018 Peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Margaret beloved wife to Jim and dearly loved mother to Noel, Jenny, Karen, Richard, Stephen, and Anthony. Deeply regretted by her loving family. Mother Mary, brothers Johnny, Frank, William, Fint, Kevin, Owen, Brendan, James, Paddy. Sisters Geraldine, Martina, Kathleen, Carmel, Bernie and Helen. Brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her residence from 3 pm on Saturday, with rosary at 8 pm. Again in Sunday reposing from 3 pm with rosary at 8 pm. On Monday house private. Arriving at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery.

Dominic Buggy
Dromagh, Crettyard, Laois / Crettyard, Carlow

Dominic Buggy of Dromagh, Crettyard, Co. Laois passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 17th, 2018. Beloved son of Anastasia and Paddy, much loved brother of Ian, Laura, Darren, Leona (Yona) and Irene and cherished brother-in-law of Katie, Sha and Mike. He will be sadly missed by his loving parents, brothers, sisters, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home from 1pm on Friday with Prayers at 8.30pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 2pm in St. Abban’s Church, Doonane, Co. Laois, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. House private on Saturday please.

Reposing in the Chapel Of Adoration, adjoining The Church Of The Most Holy Rosary Abbeyleix from 6pm.on Friday with Rosary at 8pm. Removal for 11am.Requiem Mass on Saturday to The Church Of The Most Holy Rosary Abbeyleix. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

Michéal Lalor, Cardtown, Camross, Co. Laois. – Died 16th January 2018, suddenly, at home, in his 48th year. Predeceased by his mother Mary and sister Bridget. Deeply regretted by his father Micheal, sister Mary, brothers Fint and Pat, Godchildren Michael, James and Polly, nieces Michelle and Sheila, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family and friends. Reposing at his home in (Cardtown) on Friday evening from 3pm, with rosary at 9pm. Removal on Saturday morning to St. Fergal’s Church, Camross, for funeral Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Bernadette Shelly (née Kavanagh)
Slieve Bloom House, Rosenallis, Laois / Knocktopher, Kilkenny

The death has occurred of Bernadette Shelly (née Kavanagh) of Slieve Bloom Hse, Rosenallis, Co. Laois, formerly of Monument House, Mountmellick, Co. Laois and formerly of Ballinamona House, Knocktoper, Co. Kilkenny. Peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of Oakdale Nursing Home, Portarlington. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Liam, daughters Yvonne and Jacinta, son Eljay, grandchild Marsha, sisters Kathleen, Josephine and Patricia, in-laws Mark and Jerry, extended family, neighbours and friends. Reposing in Oakdale Nursing Home Portarlington, on Wednesday evening from 7pm with Rosary at 9pm. Removal on Thursday morning at 11.15am to St Brigid’s Church, Rosenallis, arriving for 12 o’clock Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in St Brigid’s Cemetery, Rosenallis. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to “The Residents Fund” Oakdale Nursing Home, Portlarlington. Donation box will be present in the church.

At the Regional Hospital, Tullamore after a long illness. Sadly missed by his loving brothers Don, Tom, Dermot, Philip and Gerry, sister Peggie, sisters-in-law Kathleen, Tina, Marion and Dora (deceased), cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and all his friends. Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest Portarlington on Wednesday from 5pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Thursday at 9:20am arriving St Michael’s Church, Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 10am. Funeral afterwards to St Michael’s Cemetery, Portarlington.
