One of Ireland’s top makeup artists will be setting a studio in Portlaoise.
Ruth Bergin, who is orginially from Abbeyleix, will be setting up the studio over her dad’s business, James Bergin jewellers, on Main Street, Portlaoise.
Ruth has amassed a huge following on social media, with almost 30,000 followers on Instagram and 16,000 likes on Facebook.
Ruth previously worked for Inglot Cosmetics before working in her own studio in Shankill, Dublin.
She says that she will still be taking appointments in Dublin but will be using the studio in Portlaoise for events like local debs and the Electric Picnic.
“I will be starting off using the space in Portlaoise for mid-week makeup lessons for individuals, professionals, debs dates, group bookings and the Electric Picnic,” said Ruth.
Excitement
Ruth says she can’t wait to set up in Laois.
“This is a very exciting move for me as I will have the freedom to use the space for so many things. I’m hoping to hold masterclasses and courses as well as the lessons,” she added.
Ruth will also have some big names in the makeup industry such as Michelle Fox working in the studio from time to time.
