Laois Public Participation Network will hold a public open meeting on Wednesday, January 17 in the Killeshin Hotel, Portlaoise to discuss a number of Laois County Council Social and Cultural Strategies.
The meeting will address issues including strategies for the library development and sports strategies.
These strategies include: The Creative Ireland Laois Plan 2018-2022, the Arts Strategy 2018-2022; the Recreation, Play and Sports Strategy 2018-2022; the Library Development Strategy 2018-2022.
Those with any interest miss this opportunity to have your say and to take part in the development of these strategies.
Registration takes place from 6.45pm and the meeting will commence at 7.00pm. Light refreshments will be served afterwards.
Performance
The evening will also include a performance of My Ireland by Laois spoken word artist Stephen James Smith.
Stephen has recently commenced a residency in Laois funded by the Creative Ireland Programme with a focus on working with young people in the development of this area of performance.
