Today is the last day of work and school for so many people around the county – and we’re feeling particularly festive in the office here too.
So with as much work done as we’re going to do now this side of Christmas, we decided to sit down, do an end of year review – and film it all on Facebook.
The LaoisToday team members of Steven Miller, Alan Hartnett, Julie Anne Miller and Siun Lennon were the participants – missing for the big occasion was David Power, our other main regular contributor.
We looked back on the biggest stories of the year, the controversies, the funniest moments, the people we came across and events we covered that made 2017 such a memorable year.
Among the topics that came up were Laois’s Hottest Men, The Errill Babies, the Bomb in Stradbally, Helpful Advice to Single Women, the Snapchat Sensations, the ‘real’ Conor Mortimer and county final days.
And we’re looking forward now to 2018 and what that will bring. Here at LaoisToday, we’ve more great ideas in store for our readers, our advertisers and the Laois community at home and abroad.
We also have a move to a new and bigger office (in the same building) in the pipeline and plans to create more new jobs.
So from the team at LaoisToday to all our friends and followers, wherever you might be around the world, have a very Happy Christmas.
