It comprises of a vibrant and unique collection of photographs created by dance artist Erica Pessanha Borges and photographer Terry Conroy.
The beauty and richness of some of County Laois Heritage sites form the backdrop to the dance forms captured in this collection of photographs. The exhibition will be officially launched on Tuesday, December 12, at 7.30pm by Jazmin Chiodi of Iseli-Chiodi Dance Company.

Questioning feelings on the history and building structures of some of Laois Heritage and tourist places, Heart is a choreographic investigation inspired by Trisha Brown’s (Post-Modern dance choreographer, dancer) idea of integrating performing and visual arts with the use of improvisation.
Heart has also been inspired by one the first Jesuit priests to live in Emo Court, Fr Francis Browne, a well-known photographer who captured life and decisive moments during the first half of the 20th century.
Erica Pessanha Borges, Dance artist and artistic Director of Laois Youth Dance Ensemble and Laois Dance Platform. Brazilian born, Erica believes that dance encourages us to stay rooted in our bodies as we act, make decisions, and participate in the world; it all transpires from the personal.
Terry Conroy is a Laois photographer, passionate about capturing images in the best possible way. Terry is delighted to collaborate on this project by capturing dance movement injecting life into Laois Heritage Sites.
