A very successful Bank of Ireland Abbeyleix – Durrow Enterprise Town event featuring some of the highest profile sporting and business people was a huge success on Saturday.
The event formally began in Heywood Community School when the ribbon was cut by Deputy Sean Fleming.
And early pride of place went to Spink Comhaltas who gave an opening performance at 11.15 am.
Sports
Well-known local sportsman Colm “Wooly” Parkinson who is a well-known sports presenter for Joe.ie then chaired a sports panel discussion.
The event featured Eddie Brennan, former Kilkenny hurler & RTE analyst; Paul Broderick, Carlow senior footballer and our own Alison Miller, Irish rugby player.
Music was then performed by Heywood Community School at 12.40 pm.
Bizworld Presentations – presented by Bank of Ireland followed at 1 pm.
Then it was the turn of Lynam School of Dance for further entertainment.
At 1:45 pm business was the focus with business panel discussion facilitated by Bobby Kerr, Irish entrepreneur and businessman.

A colouring Competition Presentation will follow at 2.20 pm.
Proceedings for the very successful event were brought to a close at 2.30 pm by Jason Ryan and Karen Flanagan Branch Managers, Bank Of Ireland.
