There’s plenty happening all over Laois this weekend. Here’s your guide to what’s on.
FRIDAY 6 OCTOBER
- For all those in Borris-in-Ossory, the annual Laois Hospice Foundation coffee morning takes place in St Canice’s Hall from 10am to 1pm.
- A Race Night in aid of Buggie School of Dancing will be held in Dunne’s Pub, Stradbally at 8.30pm.
- The replay of the cracking showdown between Emo and Portlaoise in the IFC takes place in O’Moore Park at 7pm.
- A table quiz will take place in St Patrick’s Hall, Stradbally at 8.30pm.

SATURDAY 7 OCTOBER
- Ballyfin Vintage & Veteran Club are holding thier annual Cabaret night at the Deadmans Inn at 9pm. Night includes music, raffles and spot prizes. Entry €10.
- The Durrow High Nelly club are completing the Greenway cycle from Waterford to Dungarvan. Leaving at 9am from Bob’s Bar in Durrow and staying in Dungarvan.
- Kilcavan are Laois representatives in the AIB Leinster Club JFC and will be taking on the Wicklow representatives in Wicklow.
SUNDAY 8 OCTOBER
- St Vincent de Paul are having a sale in the Midlands Park Hotel from 11.00am to 6.00pm. For more on the event see here.
- Mountmellick GAA are holding their monster auction at 1pm.
- The Intermediate and Junior hurling finals take place today. Ballypickas take on Rathdowney-Errill in the JHC at 1.45pm while Rathdowney-Errill are out again in the IHC final, going up against Trumera at 3.30pm. Both games will be played in O’Moore Park.
