We’re back again with your guide to what’s on in the county this weekend.

FRIDAY 29 SEPTEMBER
  • Mountmellick Macra are holding a table quiz in the Druid Inn at 9pm.
  • Arthur Miller’s ‘A View ftom the Bridge’ will be performed by Clodiagh Players in Clonaslee parochial hall at 8pm evert night this weekend.
  • Trumera play Clonad in the intermediate hurling semi-finals in the Training Centre, Portlaoise, at 7.15pm.
SATURDAY 30 SEPTEMBER
  • O’Moore Park plays host to two finals this evening. In the junior football championship final, St Joseph’s play Kilcavan at 5.30pm.
  • In the intermediate football championship final, Emo take on Portlaoise at 7.15.

SUNDAY 1 OCTOBER
  • The Harps GAA are having a family fun run at 2pm. The event starts at the Durrow CYMS hall and will finish at Culloholl Community Hall.
  • Applefest begins in Abbeyleix from 2pm to 5pm.
  • In the ladies senior football championship final, Sarsfields play Portlaoise in Annanough at 5.30pm.
  • Ballyreilly threshing festival takes place today in Ballyreilly, Borrsi-in-Ossory at 2pm. In addition to threshing, there will be vintage vechicles, a dog show, craft stalls, an auction, children’s games and traditional music.
