Earlier this morning, there was frantic scenes in Portlaoise as a large group of people queued to buy tickets to next year’s festival.
A couple of hundred people turned up outside Colgon’s in Portlaoise and at one stage, the line went all the way from the door of the shop, which is a Ticketmaster outlet, on Main Street up beyond Tara Court.
Tickets to the festival sold out before the line-up was even announced for this year back in March.
And Electric Picnic bosses last week revealed the three-day festival will continue for at least another ten years.
If you have been to the festival three times or more a ticket this morning will cost €165, if you’ve been once or twice a ticket will cost €185 and if you haven’t been before it will cost €205.
