Portarlington man Tom Conroy brought the sound of the powerful Game of Thrones theme tune to the Ridge of Capard last weekend.
Tom, who is the resident piano player at Ballyfin Demesne, performed the famous tune surrounded by the flora and fauna on top of the Slieve Blooms.
The Game of Thrones television series is continuing to take the world by storm and is now in its seventh series.
The fantasy drama series is set in a fictional land filled with Kings, Queens, dragons and magic. The television series was adapted from George R. R. Martin’s ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’.
Tom has received many positive comments on his video, which was filmed by Karin Weinzierl.
In between performing across Laois, Tom has just finished writing his first musical, which will be released soon.
“My biggest plan at the moment is the release of my new musical about Nano Nagle, who founded of Presentation Sisters. It has been a work-in-progress for four years with script writer Danny Hyland who lives in Clonaslee and Sister Roisin Gannon,” said Tom.
If his piano performances are anything to go by, we’re sure the musical will be a resounding success.
