Portlaoise Macra na Feirme are in the All-Ireland Final of the Macra FBD Farm Skills competition at the Tullamore Show this Sunday.
Liam Brophy, Thomas Cushen and Siobhán Walsh are hoping to bring home the All-Ireland title for the club for the first time since 1995.
Having qualified from county Laois, Portlaoise got through to the All-Ireland from the semi-final in Oldcastle, County Meath in mid-July. They were one of three teams to qualify on that day out of a total of eight.
The Portlaoise team will now compete against Devils Bit, Moynalty, Fermoy, Carrigaline and Kilmeen in the All-Ireland Final.
Tasks on the day
Three tasks have to be completed on the day. A farming knowledge quiz, tractor teamwork and a fencing task.
The competition will run throughout the morning and afternoon, with the fencing task taking place in the afternoon.
