The deadline to enter nominees for Laois County Council’s Community and Voluntary Awards has been extended to Friday, August 25.
There is still time to nominate anyone you think deserving of the Community award or Unsung Hero award.
The Healthy and Active Community Award recognises clubs that promote physical activity, healthy lifestyles and a sense of community.
Examples include walking/hiking clubs, indoor and outdoor activities and physical activity programmes.
Applications
All applications should be sent to Geraldine Delaney, Community Development Section, Laois County Council, County Hall, Portlaoise. Alternatively, they can be emailed to gdelaney@laoiscoco.ie
