Rathdowney was a hive of activity on Saturday morning as the Easy Rider cyclists set off on a 220km cycle to Waterford – and then Wexford – in aid of the Laura Lynn Children’s Hospice.
It was the 15th year in succession that the local group set off around the country, having gone to a variety of locations over the year.
And they’re an incredibly successful fund-raising group too, having raised almost €400,000 in that time.
Forty five cyclists took part – along with a full support crew traveling with them in vans, cars and motorbikes.
They left Rathdowney at 9am on Saturday and headed to Dungarvan in Waterford where they stayed the night before heading to Wexford on Sunday via the Waterford Greenway.
Our photographer Oonagh Maher was in Rathdowney on Saturday morning to see them off on their journey.
