Gardai are preserving the scene of a farm shed at Quarrymount, Killeigh in Laois which was damaged by fire overnight.
Sometime between midnight and 1am it appears a fire was started causing substantial damage to machinery and equipment contained in shed. Fire Officers attended the scene which is now preserved pending forensic examination.
Elsewhere, Garda are also appealing for witneses to large row that occurred in Laois Shoppping Centre on Thursday afternoon between 4.30 and 5pm involving a group of 10 people.
