Paul Moore is a Tullamore-based photographer – but he often strays across the county boundary to take exquisite photos of Laois, usually using just an iPhone.
Paul says the only limit to taking a good photo is your imagination.
“Practice does makes perfect. The most important thing is to realise the limitations of mobile phone cameras and then figure out where they work best and concentrate on that.
He compares the feeling of taking a good photo to, “how a golfer might feel about a good drive or a footballer feels about scoring a goal. When I’m editing a photo I am totally involved it that moment. It’s very relaxing and if the photo it’s works all the better.”
The Midlands
Paul takes photos all around the Midlands.
“I like to be able to use my photos to promote the area as I feel it is often overlooked by tourists and tourism promoters in Ireland. Between mountains, lakes, old historic buildlings etc there is so much to discover. I am constantly on the look out for new places to photograph.”
